Can I bring a friend to the club to workout with me?
The Leading Edge welcomes your friends and family to try our club. A guest may use our facility one time for free. You can pick up a guest pass in the club or call the club to let them know that you are bringing a friend. All guests must bring a valid photo ID and must be 18 years or older.
Out of state guests must pay a day fee of $10.
Are there additional costs for classes?
All membership options at the Leading Edge include all group fitness classes and cycling. Yoga and pilates cost an additional fee.
What should I bring with me to workout?
We provide body wash, hairdryers, rental towels and lockers to store your belongings. You should bring a lock with you to the club and plan to bring your belongings home with you each day. Leave your valuables at home.
How old does my child have to be to work out at the Leading Edge?
Members must be 15 or older to work out at the Leading Edge. Members 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
I travel a lot. Where can I workout out beside The Leading Edge?
All EFT and annual prepaid members of The Leading Edge in Amherst have unlimited access to The Leading Edge Greenfield. In addition, The Leading Edge is a proud member of the IHRSA Passport Program, which allows our members to workout while they travel worldwide at over 650 locations. How do I cancel my membership?
If you have fulfilled your membership contract simply visit the club and speak with a manager or send a letter by certified mail to The Leading Edge 10 University Drive Hadley MA 01035. The body of the letter should state your full name, address, and that you wish to terminate your membership with The Leading Edge. If you have not fulfilled your membership contract and joined prior to November 17, 2008, you must provide proof of move (with a $99 cancellation fee) or proof of disability stating you cannot use the facility for excess of 3 months. Proof of move would include a new driver's license, lease, utility bill, etc. If you joined on or after November 17, 2008 you must include payment totaling three months dues or the remainder of the contract. All cancellations require 1 month notice.
What are my options for paying my monthly dues?
For your convenience, The Leading Edge will electronically debit (EFT) your monthly dues from your checking account, savings account or credit card account. You may also choose to buy a pre-paid membership. We accept all major credit cards.
How do I make changes to my account?
You will need to visit the club and fill out the appropriate form.
I've lost my membership card. How do I get it replaced?
Simply stop by the front desk and we will be happy to issue a new one. There is a $5 fee to replace your card.
What if I have additional questions or comments to make to a member service representative?
Your feedback is very important to our business and we want to know what you think! At the front desk we have a member suggestion box and class evaluation box with member comment forms.
If I have an unresolved customer service situation, who do I contact?
All customer service concerns can be handled by any one of the General Managers in our facilities. They are all there to meet your needs.
How do I get started with a personal trainer?
Our Member Service representatives at the front desk can set up all of your appointments for you. We offer training seven days a week so please visit the personal training page on our website to learn more about our trainers and our training options.
