Megan is a mother of two and started her weight loss journey just 5 weeks after having her second child. Megan's goals are to get stronger, lose weight and fit into a dress she plans on wearing to a wedding in May.
Her Plan: Work with a personal trainer 2 days/week, a registered dietician 1 day/week, and cardio 2 days per week on her own. Megan's personal trainer is Melissa Thornton and her registered dietician is Marit Mendelsohn.

Megan's Final Note
I am blown away by the results I have experienced from participating in the Extreme Makeover program. I have more muscle tone, confidence and most importantly, more energy. During the day I can keep up with my 2 year old and 4 month old, even after getting very little sleep! Prior to beginning the program I had not worked out in over 3 years. When I started the program the warm up tired me out and I couldn't do jumping jacks for 30 seconds, I can now do them for 2 minutes! I can now run for 45 minutes which I haven't been able to do for ever 3 years since before my son was born. The time requirements of the program were realistic even for a mom of two young kids. I met my trainer twice a week for an hour each time and I did cardio on my own twice a week for 45 minutes each time. My sessions with my trainer, Melissa, were fun and motivating. Each session included a combination of different excercises that kept me challenged. The workouts always acommodated my level of fitness and Melissa constantly encouraged me to reach the next level, whether it be a minute of the plank or 10 pull ups. During the last four weeks of the program I incorporated FITsessions. I quickly became addicted to FIT. They are a great combination of cardio and strength training. The FIT sessions are fun and energizing. I found that when I finished the set of cardio I had a great burst of energy to help me complete the strength training portion. I finished each session feeling great!
The nutrition portion of the program was also very important to me. I met with Marit for an initial consulation to ensure that I was taking in enough calories while I was breastfeeding and she gave me healthy options for quick snacks and meals. She asked that I keep a food log so she could help me stay on track. Each week we discussed my food log and she helped me make adjustments where needed. I learned that I could eat healthy and continue to enjoy food.
Overall, I had a great experience participating in the Extreme Makeover program and I would recommend it for anyone looking to lose weight and gain strength and musle tone. You will leave this program much healthier and feeling better about yourself. I am excited to continue with one on one sessions and FIT as I still need the guidance and motivation.
